When you are preparing dinner, it's hard to have all the dishes ready at the same time. Many times after grilling, I found myself covering what I just cooked with aluminum foil to keep it warm until everything else was ready. Then the foil would be tossed in the trash afterwards. What a waste!
I'm not sure if it was me or my wife who came up with the idea but now I use lids from our pots and pans to cover the food until we are ready to eat. It stays warm and no more waste!
